The system
Vacuum compression, integrated
Air is what takes up the space in a packed bag. The compression compartment lets you push it out and hold the contents at their reduced volume for the whole trip.

Fold or roll your clothes into the main compartment as you normally would.

Compress
Close the inner zip and press the air out through the one-way valve panel. It takes about twenty seconds.

Clip the compression straps. The bag holds its slimmer shape until you open the zip again.

How does the vacuum compression system work?
The main compartment has a sealed inner liner with a one-way valve panel. You close the inner zip, press or roll the air out through the valve, then clip the outer compression straps. The valve stops air from flowing back in, so the pack keeps its reduced volume until you open the zip.
Can it be used as cabin luggage?
Compressed, the bag measures 45 × 30 × 20 cm, which fits the cabin allowance of most European airlines. Allowances differ between carriers and fare types, so please check your airline before you fly.
Does a 17-inch laptop fit?
Yes. The padded sleeve takes laptops up to 17 inches, and it is suspended above the base so the device is not resting on the ground when you set the bag down.
Is it water-resistant?
The shell has a water-repellent coating that handles rain and splashes, and the base panel is water-resistant. It is not a submersible dry bag — in heavy, sustained rain we recommend a rain cover for electronics.
How much capacity does it have?
38 litres expanded. Once compressed the outer volume drops to roughly 24 litres while the contents stay inside.
Do I need a pump?
No. Compression is manual — you press the air out by hand or by kneeling on the bag. There is no pump, no battery and nothing electronic to fail on the road.
Will my clothes be creased?
Compressed clothing comes out with some creasing, similar to using packing cubes. Rolling rather than folding reduces it, and hanging items up on arrival usually settles the rest.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the shell with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry. Do not machine wash, tumble dry or iron the coated fabric.
